Albion, a division of Scandent Solutions, has won a $34 million contract from the State of Tennessee's Department of Human Services for the development and implementation of the Tennessee Vision Integration Platform (VIP).

According to Scandent, the VIP system will provide automated support for temporary assistance for needy families (TANF), Food Stamps, Medicaid and TennCare as well as other State supported programs.

The Albion solution is based on an implementation of its @Vantage Health and Human Services Framework, which is the selected eligibility platform in use in Massachusetts, Wyoming and Minnesota.

Albion will use @Vantage to implement a solution designed for Tennessee that will provide improved client-focussed service delivery, allowing Tennessee citizens to access services via the Internet, while improving operational efficiencies by streamlining business processes for the Tennessee caseworkers.

The new Tennessee system will be dynamic and flexible and support ongoing programme and policy changes in a manner that is timely, cost-effective and efficient.
