StarOffice suite best

Sun Microsystems on Monday announced that Chip (India) magazine, a leading test centre and reviewer of commercially available software/hardware has rated StarOffice 7, the Best Product in the 'Office Suite' category for 2003-'04, beating other commercially-available office productivity suites across a wide range of parameters.

The other office suites that were reviewed by Chip during 2003 "" '04 included Microsoft Office 2003, Evermore Integrated Office, Corel "" Word Perfect Office and 602 PC Suite.

The parameters used for the review were "" ease of use, features, performance, overall rating and value for money. Chip (India), in its review of StarOffice 7, rated it as a 'formidable office suite' offering great value to home as well as professional users.

"Looking at what we do have, the suite poises itself as a tool for the masses. Even businesses will have a hard time passing it by," said Charles Assisi, editor, Chip.
