Sun Microsystems has announced the launch of its global client engagement model which aims to help customers leverage IT resources effectively, adhere to compliance requirements and accelerate their businesses' agility, efficiency and security.

Client Solutions, the engagement and delivery component of Sun's global sales organisation, enables customers with quicker and easier access to Sun's solutions.

As part of the initiative, a customer experience centre (CEC) has been set up in Bangalore which builds solution sets for customers to see and gain confidence.

Said Anil Valluri, country director, Client Solutions Organisation (CSO), Sun India: "Huge investments are made by clients for expensive state-of-the-art computer infrastructure, to solve complex business problems, to have an edge over competition and accelerate their go-to market strategy. To solve any complex business problem, a pre-tested solution architecture based on proven servers is crucial. These tried and tested methods are essential to minimise risk and this centre tries to solve these issues."

He added that CEC offers infrastructure and support to demonstrate Sun's technology and solutions, so that customers experience the solutions and products and then decide to implement the solution in their enterprise.
