Systimax enhances cabling solutions

Systimax Solutions, a global player in structured connectivity solutions and services for businesses, has announced recently the introduction of the SYSTIMAX AirSPEED Solution, an Enterprise Wireless LAN (WLAN) solution.

The company also announced the launch of another cabling solution capable of supporting 10 Gigabit ethernet bandwidth.

In addition to providing the convenience of a single source, customers will now be able to deploy a wireless system at the same time that they install the general LAN infrastructure which we believe will deliver reduced costs to the customer," he noted.

He added that the recent proliferation of high-speed wireless portable devices has resulted in a significant demand for wireless LAN in India as well as in other parts of the world.

"WLANs are known to offer tremendous flexibility to the mobile user but the cost of implementation is one of the impediments to its adoption in India. According to Datacom Research Company, the wireless market is expected to grow to $2.8 billion by 2007 in India and we believe our solution is positioned to address the growing needs of the Indian market," Kandasamy said.

Commenting on the 10 gigabit ethernet solution, he said that it will support the bandwidth needs of today's enterprises and the needs of more demanding applications such as high resolution video, grid computing and storage area network.
