Tarang Software, a Bangalore-based firm that provides eLearning solutions and courseware to enterprises, is poised to further expand its offerings with the aim of having a significant pie in the eLearning industry.
 
The company has also announced to strengthen its engagement with Volvo by providing it with complete eLearning solutions.
 
Tarang, a Sequoia Capital-funded company initially focussed on providing payment solutions to BFSI industry.
 
In 2002, the company began looking at eLearning as an emerging opportunity. Its engagement with Volvo started in 2004 when the company bagged a project from Volvo for their content management services. Tarang helped Volvo migrate its Internet, Intranet and dealers websites to its new content management services.
 
Presently, Tarang works with Volvo IT content management services (CMS) in multiple areas including front desk support, content editing, voice support to the Volvo CMS customers and creating their technical manuals. Tarang generates a revenue of $250,000 from Volvo in providing it with its spectrum of eLearning services.
 
"We expect to double our revenue contribution from Volvo by providing them with our whole range of service offerings in the eLearning space," V Rama Kumar, chairman and CEO, Tarang Software said. Tarang has a dedicated team of 20 persons working at the Volvo office.
 
Tarang has also announced its bagging another project from Volvo where the company is working on making the courseware in Volvo's eLearning websites to learning management system (LMS)-compliant.
 
Tarang will also develop the orientation programme for the new recruits at Volvo, added Rama Kumar.
 
Tarang, which employs about 270 people at its Bangalore facility presently, had achieved a turnover of $3 million last fiscal. This fiscal, the company is eyeing a turnover of $5 million.
