The North Delhi Power Ltd is currently using 5,000 such devices as a prototype, according to TTL chief operating officer Prabhat Pani.
Presenting Tata Indicom's enterprise solutions here on Friday, Pani pointed out that TTL had come out with new instruments that have many additional features.
These included Vdata Card, a network, card that fits into most of the notebook PCs, and CDMA modems that provide wireless data connectivity.
Prabhat Pani said that TTL would be commercially launching XD phone/mail service next month.
The company also came out with an Internet on Walky, a high speed internet access device, and a Road Warrior Data system that would provide internet access even when one was on the move.
