Tata Teleservices Limited (TTL), one of India's leading telecom service providers, is aiming to raise its market share in the Orissa circle from the existing nine per cent to 15 per cent by June next year.

“We have targeted a customer base of about 10 lakh and a market share of 15 per cent in the Orissa circle by June next year”, said Biswajit Bhattacharya, circle operating officer of TTL.

TTL aims to expand its presence to 300 towns in Orissa by the end of this month and also cover all the 30 districts in the state by the end of 2008-09.

He was talking to media persons at the launch of Talk Unlimited On-Net Plan for the Walky subscribers of Tata Indicom in the city. Under this plan, the subscribers can make unlimited calls within the Tata Indicom network across the country by paying a monthly rental of Rs 749. Local calls to other network mobiles under this plan, will be charged at the rate of one rupee for three minutes while the tariff for STD calls to mobiles as well as landlines stands at one rupee per minute.

“Tata Indicom is a pioneer in launching innovative and attractive schemes. This time we are offering a new walky for Rs 999 and an Unlimited On-Net plan for Rs 749 per month. This plan is for the customers who have an unlimited calling requirement and need to stay connected at an affordable cost”, added Bhattacharya.
