The new center, a continuation of ABB group’s consistent investments in the country, will be a part of its wholly owned subsidiary entity. It is also integral to ABB’s Next Level strategy and marks an important step towards building a state-of-the-art business service organisation.
“The opening of the GBS center in India is a testimony to our commitment and confidence in partnering India’s growth story. India has always been a strategic market for ABB and this opening is an important milestone in making India a global hub for business services in the ABB Group. By simplifying and standardising our processes, we aim to increase our effectiveness and efficiency, as well as build new platforms for growth,” said Eric Elzvik, CFO and member of the executive committee of the ABB Group.
Sanjeev Sharma, CEO and managing director, ABB India Limited, added, “India is poised to benefit from its demographic dividend and Bangalore is well-established as the IT and start-up capital of India. ABB is known for its technology and product prowess and this center will project the business service expertise of ABB.”
