Bell Helicopters appoints Dynamatic as supplier for airframe assemblies

The Bangalore based Dynamatic Technologies Ltd has signed a global outline agreement with Bell Helicopters, a Textron Inc company, as a single source supplier of major airframe assemblies for the BELL 407 GX. “The estimated business volume of the agreement is approximately $90 million over a seven year period with options to extend through the life of the product,” said a Dynamatic press release.
 
This is a follow-up to an MoU signed by both companies in April this year. Dynamatic-Oldland Aerospace had hosted a senior executive team from Bell Helicopters from April 7-11, 2014 at its facilities in Bangalore. The delegation from Bell Helicopters was led by Michael Loeffler, Vice President - Supply Chain, Bell Helicopters, and included Van Wilson - Program Director, Bell Helicopters, Kelly Fowler - Director Supplier Quality, Bell Helicopters and Dale Springer - Strategic Sourcing, Bell Helicopters. As per the MoU, Dynamatic will be the single source supplier for major assemblies on the Cabin for Bell 407 (GX & AN variants) over the next ten years.
