Finance Minister to present Union Budget on July 10

While Railway Budget will be presented on July 8, Economic Survey will be tabled on July 9

According to a PTI report, the Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, will present the maiden Budget of the Narendra Modi-led NDA Government on July 10, 2014 during the Budget session of Parliament, which will be held from July 7 to August 14, 2014. The over month-long session will have a total of 28 sittings.
 
On July 8, the Railway Minister, D V Sadanand Gowda, will present Rail Budget, during which the opposition is likely to rake up the issue of recent hike in rail passenger fares and freight rates. The Economic Survey will be released on July 9, 2014.
 
The vote-on-account Budget approved by the previous Parliament ends on July 31 and a new Budget has to be in place before that date.
