After being hit by Glenn Maxwell's magic in their penultimate match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Afghanistan would be low in confidence and their chances to make it to the semifinal saw a considerable dent.

However, the Afghans are still in the race for a berth in the semifinals if they win their last fixture against South Africa and the results of New Zealand and Pakistan matches go in their favour.

Yeah, I mean for us it's having a look, looking at the surface. And for us as a team, it's trying to keep building on the positives that have been there and adjusting to the different conditions that you're faced with, which is part and parcel of playing at a World Cup. So small improvements, that's something we've wanted to do throughout. And there's been some good stuff, so we want to try and build on that going into the match.
