Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's recent statements on the Katchatheevu issue sparked India-Sri Lanka controversy. Speaking to a leading national daily, former Sri Lankan envoy to India Austin Fernando said, "If India crosses the sea boundary, it will be seen as a violation of sovereignty". He also called it a rhetoric for elections and said the BJP raised the issue deliberately ahead of the elections to use it as a 'vote puller'. Watch the video to know more.
