Commuters are finding it difficult to cross the area. The river is surrounded by textile units that reportedly discharge its effluents into the water bodies. Noyyal river rises from the Velliangiri hills in the Western Ghats. The river travels through areas of Coimbatore and Tiruppur and meet the Kaveri.
