ACE, Japan's KATO to invest ₹200 cr to manufacture cranes in India

Action Construction Equipment (ACE) on Thursday announced an investment of Rs 200 crore in a joint venture with Japan-based KATO Works Co. Ltd to manufacture high-capacity cranes in India. In a statement, ACE said ACE KATO Pvt. Ltd the 50:50 joint venture between ACE and KATO Works will manufacture high-capacity cranes in India for domestic and global markets. The joint venture has established an 11-acre manufacturing facility in Haryana with a planned investment of approximately Rs 200 crore, the construction equipment manufacturing company said. The facility will manufacture truck cranes, crawler cranes and rough-terrain cranes, catering to infrastructure, transportation, mining, ports, energy, metro rail, industrial and other heavy-duty applications. Action Construction Equipment Q1 results: PAT grows 24% to Rs 84.57 cr

Action Construction Equipment Ltd on Wednesday reported a 24 per cent rise in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 84.57 crore in the April-June quarter of this financial year, mainly on account of higher income. It had reported a PAT of Rs 67.57 crore during the April-June period of the preceding 2023-24 fiscal, the construction equipment maker said in an exchange filing. The total income also increased to Rs 761.81 crore, up 14 per cent from Rs 667.85 crore a year ago. "The company has maintained its growth momentum in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. The company has been able to deliver its best ever quarterly performance in Q1 FY25," Action Construction Equipment Executive Director Sorab Agarwal said.
