Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd on Monday reported a 27.32 per cent decline in profit after tax at Rs 10.08 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2025 impacted by higher expenses. The company had posted a consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs 13.87 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd (HMVL) said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 196.87 crore as against Rs 171.99 crore in the same period a year ago, it added. Total expenses in the fourth quarter were higher at Rs 213.63 crore as compared to Rs 193.33 crore in the year-ago quarter. Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd on Monday reported an over four-fold rise in profit after tax at Rs 45.4 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 2025, with its digital business clocking strong revenue growth. The company had posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 10.74 crore in the corresponding quarter of preceding fiscal, Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd (HMVL) said in a regulatory filing. Consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 201.25 crore as against Rs 188.05 crore in the same period a year ago, it added. Total expenses in the fourth quarter were lower at Rs 208.58 crore as compared to Rs 219.51 crore in the year-ago period. In the latest fourth quarter, revenue from printing and publishing of newspapers and periodicals segment was lower at Rs 180.59 crore as compared to Rs 181.47 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, the filing said. Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd (HMVL) on Monday reported a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 18 crore in the December quarter. The company had posted a loss after tax of Rs 0.82 crore in the October-December period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing by HMVL, the publisher of Hindi daily Hindustan. Its revenue from operations rose 8 per cent to Rs 197.47 crore in the third quarter. It stood at Rs 182.95 crore in the corresponding period a year ago. Total expenses of HMVL were Rs 201.68 crore, down 3.2 per cent in the December quarter. Its revenue from printing & publishing of newspapers & periodicals was Rs 179.72 crore. HMVL's revenue from Digital jumped four-fold to Rs 16.72 crore in the December quarter against Rs 4.18 crore in the corresponding quarter. Total income of HMVL, which includes other income, was Rs 221.39 crore, up 7.2 per cent. Shares of Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd settled at Rs 94.01 apiece, up 12.69 per cent from the previous close.
Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd (HMVL) on Thursday reported a 91.82 per cent decline in its profit after tax of Rs 0.52 crore for the first quarter of 2024-25. The company had posted a profit after tax of Rs 6.36 crore in the April-June period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing by HMVL, the publisher of Hindi daily Hindustan. Its revenue from operations was down 3.78 per cent to Rs 162.18 crore in the April-June quarter compared to Rs 168.56 crore in the corresponding period a year ago. Total expenses of HMVL were flat at Rs 188.55 crore in the June quarter. Its revenue from printing & publishing of newspapers & periodicals was at Rs 154.35 crore and Rs 9.03 crore from digital. Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd on Tuesday reported an 11 per cent decline in consolidated profit after tax at Rs 10.74 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024. The company had posted a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 12.08 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal, Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd (HMVL) said in a regulatory filing. Revenue from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 188.05 crore as against Rs 188.13 crore in the year-ago period, it added.
