 "Hindustan Media Ventures Q1 net up 17% at Rs 48.7 crore")
Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd on Thursday reported a 16.87% rise in standalone net profit at Rs 48.7 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2016.
The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 41.67 crore in the same period last financial year, Hindustan Media Ventures said in a BSE filing.
Net sales during the period under review stood at Rs 236.13 crore as against Rs 221.73 crore in the corresponding period last year, up 6.49%.
Shares of Hindustan Media Ventures closed 1.53% down at Rs 271.10 apiece on BSE.
