Tata Motors, THINK Gas enter partnership for truck LNG refueling ecosystem

Tata Motors on Thursday said it has partnered with city gas distribution player THINK Gas to strengthen the LNG refueling ecosystem for long-haul and heavy-duty trucking in India. The two partners have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this purpose, Tata Motors said in a statement. The partnership aims to enhance infrastructure readiness, build greater awareness of fuel quality, and enable wider adoption of LNG-powered commercial vehicles, accelerating the transition towards cleaner, more decarbonised freight operations, it added. Gail signs 10-year deal with Vitol to import 1 million tonnes LNG from 2026

State-owned GAIL (India) Ltd has signed a gas sales and purchase agreement (GSPA) to buy 1 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Vitol Asia Pte Ltd for 10 years starting 2026. The GSPA follows a binding term sheet signed in January 2024, GAIL said in a statement. "Under the agreement, Vitol will deliver LNG to GAIL from its global LNG portfolio," it said. Speaking on the occasion, GAIL Director (Marketing) Sanjay Kumar said the company is expanding its long-term LNG portfolio to meet demand growth. "We are pleased to partner with Vitol Asia Pte Ltd, and this agreement represents a key milestone in reinforcing GAIL's capability to reliably serve its diverse and evolving customer base." Indian Oil Corp inks 14-year LNG supply pact worth $7-9 bn with UAE's ADNOC

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the nation's largest oil firm, has signed a USD 7-9 billion deal to import LNG from UAE on a long-term 14-year contract. IOC signed a long-term deal to receive 1.2 million tonnes per year of LNG from the United Arab Emirates beginning 2026 for 14 years. "ADNOC Gas has signed a 14-year sales and purchase agreement with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC) for the export of up to 1.2 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to India's largest integrated and diversified energy company which will be supplied from Das Island liquefaction facility," ADNOC Gas said in a statement.
