Tata AutoComp Systems seeks to tap opportunities in railways sector

Auto components maker Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd is seeking to tap opportunities emerging from the modernisation of Indian Railways, identifying it as a key focus area beyond its core automotive components business, its Vice-Chairman Arvind Goel said on Monday. The company has already stitched partnerships with global technology leaders -- Skoda, Compin Fainsa, and Air International Thermal Systems to bring world-class products and technologies to the Indian market. "India's rail network is undergoing rapid modernisation, and the government's focus on improving infrastructure, travel convenience, and passenger comfort makes this the right time to enter the segment," Goel said. Tata AutoComp, Katcon form JV to make advanced composites for North America

Automotive component maker Tata AutoComp Systems on Thursday said it has formed a strategic joint venture with Mexico- headquartered Katcon Global to manufacture advanced composites for the North American market. Tata AutoComp, in a statement, said the venture will specialise in lightweight applications for passenger and commercial vehicles, agricultural tractors, off-road vehicles, and specialised non-automotive segments. A global supplier to the automotive industry, Katcon Global specialises in exhaust systems, thermal insulation and advanced materials components. The company operates with 11 manufacturing facilities and five technology centres spread across eight countries. Tata AutoComp Systems to acquire 80% stake in Jaguar's Artifex Interior

Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd on Sunday said it will acquire 80 per cent stake in Artifex Interior Systems Ltd, a part of the Jaguar Land Rover group, for an undisclosed sum. On completion of this transaction, Artifex, with revenue of GBP 296 million (FY25), will join the TATA Autocomp (TACO) family, the company said in a statement. The company has purchased the majority shareholding from Jaguar Land Rover Ventures Ltd, a subsidiary within the Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Plc group, which is part of Tata Motors Ltd, it added. With this acquisition, TACO consolidates its position as one of India's largest automotive component manufacturers, strengthens its presence in Europe's automotive sector, and further establishes itself as an integral part of the supply chain for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles, the company said. Tata AutoComp to acquire IAC Sweden, strengthening European presence

Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd on Monday said it will acquire International Automotive Components Group Sweden AB (IAC Sweden), in a bid to strengthen its presence in Europe's automotive sector. This proposed acquisition reinforces Tata AutoComp's presence in Sweden and enhances the company's relationships with key European Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in both the passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle segments, further expanding its global footprint, the company said in a statement. The company, however, did not disclose any financial details. IAC Sweden has a turnover of approximately USD 800 million and is a well established manufacturer of interior systems and components to the automotive industry, it added.
