SRK's 'Raees' earns Rs. 20.42 cr on day 1, beats Hrithik's 'Kaabil' at box office

New Delhi, Jan 26 (ANI): As expected Shah Rukh Khan starrer- 'Raees' has managed to surpass the box office collection of Hrithik Roshan's film 'Kaabil' on the opening day. The Rahul Dholakia directed flick earned Rs. 20.42 crores on its first day, whereas, according to Box Office India, the Sanjay Gupta directorial collected just 7.75-8 crore nett on day one. Both 'Raees' and 'Kaabil' are among most anticipating films of this year and expectations from both the films are very high. "#Raees has a FANTASTIC Day 1... Wed ? 20.42 cr... Today [Thu; Republic Day] will witness HUMONGOUS biz again," tweeted film critic Taran Adarsh. Well, the coming days will throw more light on the box office collection of both the films.
