Depression cases relapsing due to COVID-19 situation: Ganga Ram Hospital's psychiatrist

New Delhi, Apr 12 (ANI): Speaking about the psychological impact due to coronavirus, Sri Ganga Ram Hospital's psychiatrist, Dr Rajiv Mehta stated that anxiety plays a vital role in health. "Most of the problem is coming with the persons who have been previously depressed and anxious. Even if a small amount of cough occurs, they get further more anxious. Basically depression is coming back, in the previously ill person, although who have been stable are again relapsing," said psychiatrist, Dr Rajiv Mehta. "Depression, anxiety is increasing with the situation that prevails today. The most affected are the ones who are already getting treatment," he further added.
