Alappuzha (Kerala), Apr 15 (ANI): In a move to quickly combat coronavirus disease, Alappuzha district administration is using all available resources. Famous houseboats in backwaters were converted into isolation wards to admit COVID-19 patients.

As part of it in first phase of COVID-19 we were able to keep down the COVID 19 cases. In second phase, if any need arises houseboats can be converted into isolation wards.

The Houseboat Owners Association has agreed to the request," M Anjana, District Collector said. Out of 387 positive COVID-19 patients, 211 patients have been cured so far in Kerala.
