New soil testing lab acts as boon to farmers

Kargil, Nov 04 (ANI): The new soil testing laboratory in Kargil area of Jammu and Kashmir is helping the farmers of the district. This new soil testing laboratory was started this year. Earlier there were only two rooms meant for this at the agricultural office in Kargil. To remain profitable in agriculture under present conditions, every farmer and grower should consider that fertility levels must be measured. These measurements can then be used to manage soil fertility more precisely to achieve top production and quality, while still keeping costs at the minimum necessary to meet the goals. The farmers are happy and are hopeful that with the help of soil testing laboratory the production of crops will increase and agriculture sector will reach new heights.
