PM Modi announces celebrations plan for Raja Ram Mohan Roy's 250th birth anniversary

Kolkata (WB), Jan 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that the nation needs to follow Indian reformer Raja Ram Mohan Roy's principles. He said, "We will celebrate his 250th birth anniversary (in 2022) in a year-long programme. It is our duty to preserve our heritage and is one of the key aspects of nation-building." He is on a two-day visit to West Bengal's capital Kolkata.
