International luxury brand Cartier has launched a new watch collection "" Santos 100 "" in the Indian market to mark the 100-year celebrations of one of its oldest and most recognisable product designs.

The new watch has a robust industrial look, elongated Roman numerals, black steel hands and fold-over steel and yellow gold clasp. Priced between Rs 1,95,000 and Rs 4,70,000, the product will be available in select watch stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Bangalore and Ahmedabad.

But will Cartier open its boutiques in India? Patrick Normand, managing director, Cartier, Middle East and South Asia says: "While India is a relatively mature market, our bigger markets are China and Russia." Of the 220 boutiques around the world, seven are in China.
