The Indian Premier League match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians has been delayed due to an explosion in the generator room of the M Chinnaswamy stadium here today.
The explosion occurred about an hour before the start of the match.
"It's a minor incident in the generator room. No need to worry. We will have a delayed start though... May be of 10-15 minutes," Sudhakar Rao, Assistant Secretary of the Karnataka Cricket Association, told PTI.
The cause of the blast is being ascertained.
Both the teams are inside the stadium. Mumbai have already qualified for the semifinals but Bangalore are close to securing a last-four place.
