Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has made his singing debut and collaborated with Sonu Nigam to release his first album, 'Cricket Wali Beat'.

Tendulkar chose the biggest singing platform in the country, Indian Idol, to release his first album last night.

The video premiered during the grand finale of the reality show 'Indian Idol 9' where Tendulkar was the celebrity guest.

Tendulkar surprised his fans by deciding to become singer after a glorious cricketing career.

The first line of the song — "Gend aayi, bala ghuma, mara chaka, Sachin, Sachin...Nacho nacho sab cricket wali beat pe..." -- was sung by Tendulkar.
