ACC, the country's largest cement maker, has proposed to delist its Global Depository shares, which at present are listed in the London Stock Exchange.
In a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company said that it has directed the depository (Citibank N A, Newyork) to terminate the deposit agreement with effect from 15 October, 2008.
This has reference to the deposit agreement in March, 2008 between ACC and CitiBank N A acting in its capacity as depository and all holders and beneficial owners of Global Depository shares evidenced by Global Depository Receipts issued under the Agreement.
