Adani Power today reported a net profit of Rs 125.84 crore for the quarter ended September 30.
The net sales of the company was Rs 395.17 crore in the July-September quarter, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
During the first six months of this fiscal, the company reported a net profit of Rs 240.32 crore, it said.
Net sales of the company during April-September, 2010, were at Rs 748.25 crore, the filing added.
During the quarter that ended on September 30, the company has added 330 Mw to its power generation capacity, taking the total capacity to 990 Mw.
In a separate filing to the stock exchanges, the company further said that it has decided to evaluate the proposal to merge 26 per cent shareholding of its subsidiary, Adani Power Maharashtra, to itself.
This will be subject to necessary regulatory approvals, the filing added.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 134.30 a piece on the BSE, up 0.15 per cent from the previous close.
