Vadodara-headquartered Ameya Group has tied up with Netherlands-based Adamas, a manufacturer of diamond drilling and cutting equipment used in high-value infrastructure (HVI) and construction industry.

Diamond drilling and cutting equipment are used for demolishing existing buildings and making fast and precise openings in reinforced concrete.

AD Jonkers, international representative, Adamas, and Gautam Bafna, managing director, Ameya Group, signed an exclusive partnership agreement for India at Vadodara last week.

As part of the tie up, Ameya will market and provide support to all customers through its dedicated sales and service branch offices across India.

Adamas operates three plants in the Netherlands, manufacturing diamond drill rigs, diamond drill motors, electric floor saws, wall cutting machines, diamond drill bits and saw blades for drilling and cutting of concrete structures.

"The alliance falls in line with Ameya's philosophy of introducing a new or competitive product to the Indian industry. Currently, these range of products are sold by only one or two select multinational companies such as Hilti in India. The strategic tie up with Adamas will offer the customers a choice to get these high quality equipment," said Manoj Pillai, business development manager, Ameya, who is also heading the new business and strategic alliance for the group.

This is the second strategic tie up that Ameya Group has entered into in the last two months.

In February, the group forged alliance with the Netherlands-based Norit to market activated carbon, which is used in gas purification, gold purification, metal extraction, water purification, medicine and sewage treatment in India.

Ameya, which clocked a turnover of Rs 40 crore in the 2007-08 financial year, expects to close the current fiscal with Rs 100 crore.
