Industrialist Anil Ambani today met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and is believed to have discussed allocation of natural gas to his group company's upcoming power plant, among others issues.
Ambani's meeting comes close on heels of the power ministry preparing a list of projects and according priority based on achievement of certain landmarks, like land acquisition.
Official sources confirmed Ambani's meeting with Singh but did not divulge details.
Anil Ambani group spokesperson could not be contacted despite several attempts.
Ambani is also believed to have met other senior Cabinet ministers and officials in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
