Commercial vehicle major Ashok Leyland registered a 17 per cent increase in auto sales in October, with total sales of Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) and Medium and Commercial Vehicle (M&HCV) at 15,149 units.
M&HCV sales rose 7 per cent to 9,797 units as compared to 9,140 units, a year ago.
LCV sales increased 41 per cent to 5,352 units.
Between April and October, total sales rose by 33 per cent to 109,236 units. In the same period last year, total sales were at 82,431 units.
M&HCV sales during this period rose by 30 per cent to 78,331 units and LCV sales rose by 38 per cent to 30,405 units.
