The first small commercial vehicle 'Dost' from Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland and Japan-headquartered Nissan Motor Company was rolled out from their Hosur manufacturing facility today.
Hinduja Automotive Executive Vice Chairman V Sumantran and Nissan Motor Company Executive Vice President Andy Palmer flagged off from the first product from their line at Hosur facility.
Talking to reporters here Sumantran said the first commercial launch of the vehicle would happen in a month or so.
"With this rollout, we are just one step away for the market launch. It is expected to be in a month or so," he said.
However, the executives declined to comment on the cost of the vehicle.
The Dost would be available in three versions with top-end version featuring airconditioning power steering and fabric seats. The customer would also have a three colour option -- white, beige and blue.
