Astra Microwave Products Limited, a Hyderabad-based company engaged in the manufacture of microwave components and subsystems for wireless communications used in defense, space and civilian applications, has received a Rs 81.28-crore order from a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) entity.

In a filing to the BSE on Friday, the company said the order involved design, development, testing, installation and commissioning of radar subsystems, which has to be completed in the next 30 months.

The scrip of Astra Microwave is currently trading at Rs 85.10 on the BSE, up 7.72 per cent as against the previous close of Rs79.
