Aurobindo appoints new CEO for formulations business

Arvind Vasudeva has almost three decades of experience in formulations sales and marketing and business development

Aurobindo Pharma Limited, a Hyderabad-based manufacturer of generic pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), has appointed Arvind Vasudeva as chief executive officer (formulations) effective today.

Vasudeva, an MPharm, pharmaceutical technology, from Punjab University, has almost three decades of experience in formulations sales and marketing and business development. Prior to joining Aurobindo, he served as the chief operating officer at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals and was instrumental in the growth of the company.

"Vasudeva's expertise, professional capabilities and leadership will help the company to strengthen its position the pharma space further," Aurobindo vice-chairman, K Nithyananda Reddy, said in a filing to the BSE on Monday.
