Hyderabad-based Aurobindo Pharma has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture and market Entacapone tablets and Azithromycin injection.
Entacapone, a generic version of Comtan tablets of Orion Corporation, is used in the treatment of Parkingons's disease.
Azithromycin is a generic version of Zitromax of Pfizer and is indicated for treatment of patients with infections including pneumonia.
