City-based business process outsourcing (BPO) and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) company, Azure Knowledge Centre has bagged the Best BPO/KPO/ITeS Company as well as Highest Employment Generator Company in Gujarat award during the second Gujarat Electronics and Software Industries Association (GESIA) Awards-2009. Presided by Ganesh Natrajan, chairman of National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), the function saw Elitecore Technologies receiving the Best Software Product - Gujarat award.
GESIA also launched its online directory as a reference guide of the IT industry in Gujarat, a GESIA press release stated.
While telecom major Vodafone Essar was adjudged the winner in the Best Telecom Company in Gujarat award category, the Best Innovation Award for an ICT Company in Gujarat was received by VB Soft (India) Limited. The other awardees include Sai Info Systems India Limited, Aegis Limited and Netweb Software Private Limited who won awards in the categories of Best Computer Hardware in Gujarat, Highest Employment Generator - Non Gujarat based ICT Company and Best Upcoming Software Company in Gujarat awards, respectively.
Officials of over 300 software, BPO/KPO, telecom and electronics companies of Gujarat and other parts of the country were present at the function, the release further stated.
