Its total income from operations has gone up 33.9 per cent to Rs 1,608 crore compared to Rs 1,201 crore in the year ago quarter.
The operating profit also went up 33.5 per cent to Rs 354 crore in the third quarter against Rs 245 crore a year ago. The company has obtained SEBI exemption regarding segment reporting and the quarterly results of subsidiary companies such as BEL Optronic Devices Ltd and BEL-Thales Systems Ltd and joint venture companies such as GE BE Pvt Ltd and BEL Multitone Pvt Ltd are not included, the company said in a filing to BSE.
The board of directors at its meeting also announced an interim dividend of Rs 6 per share for 2014-15.
BEL stock closed 0.14 per cent lower at Rs 3,217.45 per share on the close of trading on BSE in Friday's trade.
