With 84,000 unsold housing units by the end of the June quarter, Bengaluru has crossed the inventory level of Mumbai for the first time, according to Anuj Puri, chairman and country head at JLL India. Bengaluru now has India's second-highest residential real estate inventory overhang.
The National Capital Region is ahead. While enquiries are happening, buyer sentiment has been affected by macro economic conditions, causing them to put purchases on hold.
