BGR Energy Q1 net profit declines 33%

The total income for the quarter dipped to Rs 610.79 crore against Rs 732.86 crore in year-ago period

Engineering, procurement and construction company BGR Energy Systems today posted a 33% dip in net profit to Rs 33.56 crore for the first quarter ended June 30.

The Chennai-based company's net profit stood at Rs 50.25 crore during the same period last year, it said in a statement.
The total income for the quarter dipped to Rs 610.79 crore against Rs 732.86 crore in year-ago period.

For the year ending March 31, 2012, net profits stood at Rs 223.52 crore, while the total income stood at Rs 3,447.05 crore.

As of June 30, 2012, the company's order book stood at over Rs 15,000 crore, it added.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 282.70 apiece, down by 0.67% over the previous close on the BSE.
