Bharat Electronics today reported a 24 per cent decline in net profit to Rs 170.59 crore for the October-December quarter of 2010.
In the year-ago period, the entity had a net profit of Rs 223.87 crore, Bharat Electronics said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The company's total income increased to Rs 1,372.99 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010 from Rs 1,240.46 crore in the year-earlier.
Besides, Bharat Electronics has said that it has declared an interim dividend of 60 per cent on the paid up capital of the company (Rs 6 per share) for the year 2010-2011.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 1,685 on the BSE, down 1.6 per cent from its previous close.
