State-run power equipment maker Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) today posted a 31 per cent rise in third-quarter net profit at Rs 1,403 crore, compared to Rs 1,072 crore a year earlier.
Total income from operations rose 26 per cent from Rs 7,386 crore to Rs 9,280 crore during the three months through December.
BHEL also established the capability to deliver equipment that can generate 15,000 megawatt (Mw) electricity and further augmentation to 20,000 Mw is underway.
With the highest-ever order book position of Rs 158,000 crore at the end of the third quarter, the company expects to achieve robust growth in 2010-11 and beyond, according to a company statement.
