Sahara Prime City Limited (SPCL), the real estate arm of Sahara India Group, and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) have signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) for providing telecom services in the Sahara City Homes townships across the country.

The MoU has been facilitated by Sahara Next, the IT & Telecom Infrastructure Company of the Sahara Group.

BSNL will cater the telecommunication requirements across 217 townships of Sahara City Homes. The collaboration is to provide full gamut of telecom services to the residential and commercial units of Sahara City Homes townships.

BSNL will provide hi-tech and basic telephony facilities including mobile telephony, broadband services, internet services, data services, WiMax, WiFi and VSAT services.

Soodip Neogi, Group Head IT, Sahara India Pariwar, President & Head of Sahara Next said BSNL was preferred as a service provider as it was the only service provider to offer a gamut of both premium and basic services across geographical footprint.

“We are glad to be part of the mega townships project. BSNL is rolling out the infrastructure to facilitate basic and hi-tech services to the residents of premium townships of Sahara City Homes at cost effective rates,” BSNL chief general manager (Uttar Pradesh East) Om Vir Singh said.
