The company will set up outlets based on the three formats -- cafe, lounge and square which it currently operates.
"We will take total number of our outlets to 2,000 by 2015. Majority will be in the cafe format and we will also look at opening some outlets in lounge and square formats too," Cafe Coffee Day President Marketing Ramakrishnan K said.

When asked about the investment for the network expansion, Ramakrishnan declined to share a number saying it's privately held company.
"Also, amount of investment varies due to the format of outlets," he said but added that all the 500 new outlets would be company-owned.
CCD has footprints in 200 cities as of now and by 2015 it will spread to about 400 cities, Ramakrishnan said.
The chain positions its cafe outlets as mass segment while lounge are for slightly more affluent customers. CDD has positioned square format outlets as premium stores. Prices and offerings of coffee and food also differs in each format.
CCD Senior Manager-Beverage Innovation Rhicha Sinha said the company is also looking to expanding its range of coffee and non-coffee beverages.
"We will expand our beverages ranges but it is premature to talk about the details," Sinha said.
CCD today launched its third square format outlet in Connaught Place here in the Capital.
