Chola Fin net soars 202%

Cholamandalam DBS Finance (CDFL) posted a net profit growth of 201.95 per cent at Rs 15.49 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007, as compared with Rs 5.13 crore in the corresponding period last year.

The company's income from operations grew by around 192 per cent to Rs 159.96 crore in the last quarter of 2007, as against Rs 54.78 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

For the full year ended March 31, 2007, CDFL's net profit reached Rs 31.02 crore compared with Rs 35.21 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, recording a fall of 11.9 per cent. For FY07, income from operations stood at Rs 407.45 crore as against Rs 220.15 crore, clocking a growth of 85.08 per cent.
