BitGiving, a crowdfunding platform, has raised undisclosed amount of funding from Harminder Sahni, Krishna Mehra, Sanjay Bakshi among others. The New Delhi-based start-up helps individuals and organisations raise funds for entrepreneurial, creative and social projects.

Ishita Anand, Founder and CEO commented that even though the platform has been bootstrapped only for the last two years, it has managed to become a brand and become the fastest growing crowdfunding platform in India.

"We have some very interesting things planned this year, along with the launch of BitGiving 2.0, which is going to redefine community driven crowdfunding."

The fin-tech startup is gearing up for the launch of BitGiving 2.0, which focuses on building a more connected community and enhances campaign engagement. The funds will be used to scale up the team, enhancing the product and marketing, said the company in a release.

The company claimed that last year it has hosted several campaigns that have been pivotal for the crowdfunding ecosystem in India. A few prominent fundraisings include the one for the unknown Indian ice hockey team or collecting more than 60 lakh to save Friendicoes from shutting down or crowdfunding over 40 lakh in four hours for the flood ravaged Chennai survivors through India's first live crowdfunding telethon. The campaigns have been backed by veterans like Anand Mahindra, Soha Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Gul Panag among others.

BitGiving is an online crowdfunding platform to raise funds that gives wings to entrepreneurial ideas, creative minds and social issues. Headquartered in New Delhi, BitGiving was founded in 2013 by Ishita Anand and Fahad Moti Khan with a focus on social media integration.
