Homegrown FMCG company Dabur India has launched a new variant, Apple Nectar, under its flagship brand Réal. The company also plans to introduce two more variants off Réal juices and nectars within a fortnight. Réal Apple Nectar would be available in both 200 ml and 1 litre tetrapaks, priced at Rs 15 and Rs 75, respectively.
The domestic juice and juice drinks market is pegged yearly at Rs 1,500 crore or 500 million cases by volume with players such as PepsiCo’s Tropicana, Parle Agro’s Saint, Surya Agro’s Freshgold among others.
The new variant meets 50 per cent of a child’s daily requirement of Vitamin C in one glass (200ml) and contains minerals like Iron & Calcium, a company release said.
“We are excited to launch our new variants this summer. We are sure that the new variant of Réal will definitely win consumer confidence, reasserting the market leadership positioning of the brand in the packaged fruit juices market,” said K K Chutani, marketing head (foods), Dabur India.
