Data Access Denies Ild Calls Prior To Ministry Clearance

Data Access today said that it has not violated any norms laid by the government for international long distance (ILD) operations. It said the company had not commercially launched its ILD service and is still awaiting security clearance.

The company was responding to a clarification sought by the department of telecom from Data Access as to whether a large number of calls passing through its network between May 31 and June 7 were commercial calls and if so why such traffic was carried on its network when the company had not yet received security clearance to begin commercial ILD operations.
