Vadodara-based Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DPIL), an integrated player in the power equipment and EPC segment, on Tuesday announced that the company has received its first order for Extra High Voltage (EHV) Cable.
The order tenders 35 kms of EHV Cable for 66, 132 & 220 Kv ratings. “The order marks the commencement of a new journey towards sustained value creation at Diamond Power. EHV Cables not only completes our presence across the cables value chain; being a value added product, would lead to better margins for the company going forward,” said Amit Bhatnagar, MD, DPIL said commenting on the occasion.
The company commissioned the state of the art EHV Cables plant in June 2011 at Vadodara at a cost of Rs 85 crores with support from Malliefer, France.
The plant has a capacity to produce EHV Cables upto 500 kV, making Diamond Power among the only seven manufacturers in the world to have such range.
