Dwarakanath takes over as CMD of BEML

P Dwarakanath on Wednesday assumed the charge as Chairman and Managing Director of BEML Limited, a public sector enterprise, under the Ministry of Defence. He succeeded V RS Natarajan, who retired on September 30, 2012.

Dwarakanath graduated from National Institute of Technology, Warangal in Mechanical Engineering and joined BEML in 1978.  He held various positions in the company in all its business verticals namely, Rail & Metro, Defence and Mining & Construction.

Prior to his elevation as CMD, he was the Director (Rail & Metro Business) of the company.
