Edelweiss announces buyback at Rs 45 a share

The total amount on the buyback will not exceed Rs 135 cr

Edelweiss Financial Services announced on Wednesday its board had approved a buy-back of shares at a maximum of Rs 45 each. The price is at a 30 per cent premium to Wednesday's closing of Rs 34.6 on the BSE.

The total amount on the buyback will not exceed Rs 135 crore, according to the exchange notification. It also announced a grant of 15 million stock options to employees.
